Your major service is important and requires a lot of precise work and attention. Here we have a list of items that we perform on your car.

Under the bonnet

Replace

• Engine oil
• Engine oil filter
• Air filter
• Fuel filter

Check

• Carburettor, throttle body condition and security
• Tappet or lifters for noise and report

Adjust

• Adjust idle speed and mixture if required

Inspect

• Vacuum lines and hoses
• Fuel rail condition and security
• EFT components for security and operation
• Engine for oil leaks
• Emission control system
• Enquire with client when timing belt was last replaced

Test

• Load test battery
• Test operation of EGR valve

Complete

• Complete engine compression test and report if necessary

Inspect & top up if necessary

Inspect

• Clutch & brake master cylinder fluid
• Power steering fluid
• Radiator coolant level
• Radiator coolant condition
• Windscreen washers and fluid
• Battery electrolyte level

Check

• Horn, lights and wipers
• Drive belts
• Inspect battery terminals and clean if necessary
• Test alternator voltage output under load
• Test starter motor current draw
• Test park neutral switch operation
• Check mounting of power supply cables
• Apply tyre shine

Ignition System

Check

• Colour and wear of old spark plugs and ignition components
• Voltage output of ignition coil/coils
• Ignition for coil/coils cracks or leaks
• Adjust ignition timing to specifications(if necessary)

Inspect

• Ignition leads for security and wear or burn marks
• Main engine earth

Replace & adjust

• Replace & adjust spark plug gaps (only replace platinum tipped if due)

Cooling System Condition

Inspect

• Inspect radiator & heater cores
• Inspect water pump & fan clutch
• Inspect heater & radiator hoses
• Inspect heater tap
• Inspect welsh plugs
• Inspect hose clamps
• Pressure test cooling system for leaks
• Inspect and adjust fan belts

Under car

Check

• All brakes
• All shock absorbers/struts
• All steering components
• Security of all fuel hoses/pipes
• Exhaust for security and leaks
• Tyres and pressures & rotate tyres if necessary
• Under motor for any leaks

Adjust Lubricate & Clean

• Clean & adjust brakes if required
• Adjust handbrake
• Lubricate steering stops

Road Test

• Check & report on vehicle for engine performance, braking suspension and operation of all accessories and lights
